Metal GLHS oil cap

What was the correct finish on the metal oil caps that originally came on the GLHS and similar year turbo cars?

They were a dark color. It looked like it had a slight green tint to them. Similiar but darker than the DSM BOV's. I personally think they were some sort of coating and not paint. That is gonna be tough to match exactly (with paint anyway). The Shelby oil cap was painted a satin or semi-gloss black. The PI repro shelby oil caps were rattle canned with a black wrinkle paint.
I think my 37K mile 88 omni still has it's original oil cap on it. That would be the same cap as the 86 GLHS.
