I'm wanting to build my own 2.4L crank strap kit. Something like the DCR kit. http://www.dcrsrt.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=162 Anyone make their own? I'm looking for some dimensions I can use. My block is also a 2003 pt cruiser GT turbo block for reference. Some pictures during install of the kits would also be helpful if I need to start mocking and measuring.

I will have to harass DJ a bit then ( I'm picking up his Holset and Header from him while he is down for SDAC-23) . While my current H.P. goals are not really in that realm, I may someday get real crazy. Mostly I just have the means to build these myself and and would like to build them for future goals.

Cool. Assuming you have the ability to machine the bed plate too? Thats the tricky part, and removing mat'l from the plate actually weakens it so you can't take off much

yeah, definitely a measure twice cut once scenario.

Is the machining to the bottom of the bedplate? By bottom I mean the part of the bedplate that would contact the straps?

Yes, Basically knocking the arch out of the bedplate so the strap will lay flat and torque evenly.
