I know this may sound dumb, but is it possible to replicate the sound of an SRT4 exhaust on a Daytona?

If so, is it possible with a side-exit exhaust?

I don't think so. I know the sound you want, I heard Cindy's car at SDAC16 and loved it but I have never heard a TM that sounds like that.

That's a shame, the SRT4 sound sooo good.

Sounds more like a 6 than a 4 banger.

What muffler would you recommend for a nice tone, without being extremely loud, that will still work with a side-exit setup.

Well, I tried 3 chamber Flowmaster, Super40 Flowmaster and Magnaflow with 3inch exhaust side exit on my van and all sound good, the Magnaflow was ear splitting loud.

So for the most part, so long as I get a decent muffler, It won't sound too "ricey"

No, even turbo Honda's sound good. Believe or not, fart cans sound good on our cars, :thumb:

So, the turbocharger changes the sound of the exhaust completely?

I wouldn not worry about it. TM's don't sound like 4 bangers either with a large exhaust.

As for the turbo changing the exhaust, YES... Muffler by Garret ;)

I personally like the catless UltraFlo sound. It's pretty quiet until you really get on it. Then you can hear the turbo and it gets really raspy.

Definately run some sort of muffler. I run a 2.5 dp to straight 3 inch with no cat or muffler and it pops a hell of alot. Althought for some reason it stopped yesterday and now is back today, lol. Car has a garret by the way.

Yeah, the UltraFlo really brings the pops down to a reasonable level too. I think I can address more of the drone in the CSX by replacing the stiff rear-most mount with the stocker again. I went with a real stiff one to try to stop the swaying, but I ended up putting a side mount in anyway as it was still swinging too much.
