Does anyone have any tricks for getting a stuck pivot bolt out of the front bushing of an L body lower control arm. I've got one stuck big time, it won't budge.

BFH. Hit it really hard.

Try heat and a breaker bar. If that does't work, you will have to cut off the head and threaded part then push out the bushing and replace with a new one.

if you beat it real hard put a nut on it so you dont mushroom the end,I just femoved mine today and I was very suprised it came right out,the only hard part was removing the bushing from the K frame.

Sounds like the bolt has siezed to the inner sleeve. In that case, +1 on the sawzall or just bring it to a machine shop.

Thanks Guys,
I appreciate your advice, I just rounded the head on the pivot bolt after I broke a 18mm 6 point 1/2" drive craftsman socket. Are you talking about cutting through the pivot bolt between the control arm and the k frame as well as the nut end?
