So the Shadow is at another member's house, and he got the head off today. The head gasket itself was pushed out on one cylinder, and the head revealed a couple other issues. Cylinder 1 intake valve seat has some pitting, and cylinder 2 intake valve looks like it has a crack in it. Any thoughts on if this is salvageable or not? I'm gonna get these pics to Steve Menegon as well before I send the head to him in case this thing is a total loss. If anyone in the northeast has a 2.2 head, let me know :(

Weld up the chamber, put some new valves in it.

valves and valve seats are replaceable parts.

Don't think Steve will have any problem dealing with that, skim it, new valve and seat as required, good as new.

Most likely, yes.

Only one way to find out, go have it pressure checked. I've never seen a head cracked there though...

Just heard back from Steve, not looking good. Waiting on final quote to decide if I repair or go back to a stock head.

Cracked in 3 places, exhaust valves toast, quite a laundry list. Steve is working his magic on it right now. Hopefully should have it running by the end of the month.
