Adam,

I was using an aggressive burr on this project when the piece shifted, the carbide caught an edge, and I knicked up your beautiful flange! I can polish it out, but the finish will never be the same!

Why not just use the flange to mark where you port too and then remove it before porting? Or better yet I assume these are to the same size as the gasket?? 1.92" and just use the gasket as a guide?

I finished off the intake runners, bolted it to the cylinder head it is slated for, and flowed the combo. Results are:
.050" - 57.35cfm
.100" - 72.675
.150" - 91.80
.200" - 116.025
.250" - 135.787
.300" - 148.537
.350" - 158.737
.400" - 171.48
.450" - 179.77
.500" - 184.23
.535" - 186.78 (cam he is running)
.550" - 187.42

I took care of the bungee cord issue. Thanks comedians! Next the exterior will be cleaned up as it isn't pretty! The thing works so much better than the old intake I expect a large increase in top end power. (Hopefully)

The runner/ head combo is only 4 cfm down from the cylinder head alone. The runner length from seat to floor is 11"

Jay,

Normally it is not an issue, in this case I was starting off with a brand new 3/4" flame for aluminum. The i.d. of the throat is 1.800"

nice, just noticed the cut and modified lower flange. What car is it going into? Would love to see how it fits at the firewall.

Intake set in my Shelby. We have a plan for the plenum and throttle body location.

They get rotated as they are uploaded to TM for some strange reason!

I swear I've seen a long neck or bent neck version of "our" pumps somewhere, but can't for the life of me remember where.

I hate when that happens.

Hmmm maybe I saw the "banjo style" variation of the classic boxy teardrop type shape. Interesting though, didn't realise that that's just reservoir and the pump is a round chunk in the bottom that can be removed from the res. There's some reservoir free versions for some 60s GMs (Chevelle) and those have a nipple/pipe on top for attaching remote reservoir....

... so I'm getting the idea that you could "skin" the pump, mate a fitting into the intake hole in the top, and use a remote mount reservoir.

If mixing and matching if you see a saginaw that "looks like a better fit" be aware that the valving and fittings may be different, and may have been intended to run with a bigger or smaller pulley on. (It'll probably work but give you different feel, though may fountain over if pulley too small at high rpm)

Is it just me, or does that look like it doesn't leave much room for the plenum to be centered on the runners? Or was that the plan all along, to offset the plenum so that the backside runs almost straight into the runners? (if you get what I mean)

The plenum will be centered and sufficient volume. The power steering pump cap can be removed as is.

76 Chev PU, 454, working on one now, or get the remote style aka 70-95 G vans.

Cool, so it just looks tight from the angle of the pic :)
