Rich Bryant is the best way to go if you're serious IMO. Great product and well worth the price.

I see. I searched rockauto.com and couldn't come up with them either. I'll try and do a little more digging.

Here are some. At least you can pull the part number and search that way if you want.

Mitsubishi Mirage and 1st Gen DSM struts are close enough to be used w/ a little work.

Toyota Tercel work well too.

I think Harry (tryingbe) figure out that all you have to do is cut the spring bottom so that it fits the tercel bottom perch and the tercel shocks work:

Is that a KYB Gas-a -Just? They stock them for a Tercel but not for our cars? Jeeze that just doesn't seem right!:banghead:

Charger and Omni use the same shock...

Rob,
Going to have to disagree on that one. Koni's on GLHS's used same shock, but even Koni made perch adjustable on later batches of their L-body shocks. The perch on a 2 dr is higher because of the heavier rear end (glass and hatch). The aftermarket developed a spacer to bring the perch up on 2 dr applications.

Ah, didn't know that. Bet a lot of others don't either. Wonder how many Chargers are riding lower in the back than they are supposed to? :)

KYB outlet still has some L body GR-2 in stock. You may have to search for OMNI instead of Charger.

crap, i wonderd what has been wrong with my friends glhs all these years, ive just always thought that they were the same strut as 4 doors. someone at one point in time replaced the koni's (and tossed them?) with monroe gt, good times...

It'll never fit in an Omni.

I used 1st gen talon (fwd) rear coilovers on my omni. It takes a little more work. Rich can verify that. I liked it, but seems the tercel one is a bit simpler. I liked using the BC kit from Rich and not piece mealing it, as much.

The tercel is very similar except the bottom mount doesn't need to be offset.

The tercel bottom bushing is still about 3/4" narrower than the lbody so it needs a 3/8" aluminum spacer (which I provide) on each side of the bottom bushing (no big deal).

I am working with BC and they are starting to allow me to mix and match parts more. This is actually one positive development of the "stance crowd." Due to the "stance crowd's" desire for shorter and shorter shocks BC is allowing them to mix and match components which means we can do that aswell.

They actually said I can now order 1G neon bottom mounts with SRT4 struts at no charge! That means no spacers on the front struts (not that they were bad since they help caster) but it is better to be bolt on. I will have to push them and try to get VW bottom mounts on the tercel rears aswell so that we don't even need any spacers on the rears.

It won't affect the functionality of the kits but does make them less of a hassle to install.

They were also going to send a daytona shock that I provided them to R/D to see if we can finally have a BC rear shock for the GJKHPA cars (no promises but it is a good that they are listening)!

That is excellent Rich. If it weren't so cold out today I was going to install the set I have for the Daytona so that it's ready for spring. I would love to have a matching set of shocks for the rear.
