Is drag racing the one where you drive as slow as possible and it often takes hours to complete? Also, why would you want to drag race a douche bag? I'm confused.

I think its the thing where you do like quad alternators.. And add more than an omni's weight in amps and subs.

Here is my new boomin system.. maybe I'll see how it does at the drags. :P

Welcome to the site! I don't believe anyone on here does that, or at least they don't post about it regularly. If you're into it I would love to see your progress. You'll be the only guy out there holding it down for the Turbo Mopars from what I know!

I ran my 98 Neon at the Kenwood DB drag, in west Colorado in 2000.. was alot of fun until I lost to a guy with a then first run Blade class D amp. I was still happy taking 2nd place @146db. This was a war of attrition, being 104* out that day. Good times!

I'd roll a corolla with 1 million watts.. be a fun commuter. The newer corollas are very large, like what the camry was years back. You don't think large when you hear corolla.

I used to be pretty big into audio when i had my turbo van. I ran a lot of competitions and the loudest my van got up to was a 176db. The key to get decibels up is to have the space. You have to equal everything out. And if you want to be loud make sure you get the right class of amp for the speakers your running. Aka dont run a stereo amp for subs. And dont run a mono amp for door speakers lol.

I got out of it cause it gets expensive. Plus i was tearing my van apart literally. I had 4 1500 watt class d mono amps running 2 12 kicker solo x's. With a kicker sx100.4 for the doors. I had to have my alternator rewound for a 160 amps and actually idle my van up when i had everything turned up or it would kill the van. I had 2 optima yellow tops in the back for the 4 mono amps and then 1 yellow top for the rest of the car. And all 0 guage wiring ran under the carpet. I used to run the outlaw comps and it got ridiculous. My system alone was probably around 5 to 6000 dollars total to start. And then blowing stuff, replacing with different, building custom boxes it got expensive. Plus i was buckling the roof on my van from all the vibration and actually lost 1 of the rear vent windows from vibrating so much going to the road.

Oh and my mono amps were all directed when directed was still putting out good stuff before they went to i think PPI

I was following/near a Cavalier a couple of weekends back, just off the 410, and I thought his rear windshield was gonna blow out, or it would pop his trunk open, the vibration was so bad.

Yea dynamat only does so much. I had the whole back area of my van done with 2 layers. One other key thing about decibels and getting them up, is get a rid of vibration. Vibration of the car kills decibels inside.
