with a heavy port job could it be done. would it be a good idea? i was thinking about getting a daytona or spirit rt and was wondering if this would be a good turbo to go with being that these cars are dohc. i don't feel like going threw all the work to swap a dohc 2.4 into anything. ( call me lazy) i just want something that i can add fuel spark and a nice big turbo to and run with it.
thanks guys
Of course. It'd be a great turbo! I think even stock it would be a fine turbo.
Just be careful with that head, they're expensive as hell!

From all my research it should work great. I'm planning on going that way when the times comes. It's a little bigger than a T3/T4, and can run 35psi all day long. Heavy duty work horse should work great. Plus how can you pass up the price?

heck yes, you shouldn't have problems spooling it with a DOHC R/T. The HY will spool faster than the HX unless you get / fab up a pulse manifold, then it should be similar. Compressors are the same.
