Description: Airtex fuel pump from AutoZone. This is just the fuel pump (I might have the sock, and if I do I'll toss it in the box). I don't have a picture but I can get one if you need it.

I used this in my '86 Daytona when I was trying to convert it from the Bosch to the Holley style fuel pump. I didn't have have the right carrier, etc. So I got ticked and went and purchased a whole assembly (i.e. I was sucking air because the Bosch carrier wouldn't play nice). As far as I know, the fuel pump is perfectly fine. It has 5 or so miles on it. I can get you a picture if you need it.

Airtex is an national brand, not an Autozone in house thing.

If you are at all interested in this, shoot me a price. This are going in the trash next week. I'm trying to clear out my junk.

So what would this fuel pump take to make fit in an 86 charger?

This is a good deal guys. Ive always kept a spare pump on the shelf, if you dont have one Id pick this up. You never know when a 25 year old pump is gonna fail and you can change them in a parking lot.

I suspect you'd be in the same position I was in with my '86 Daytona. I had the big Bosch pump. You need a carrier from a newer car and a fuel sock. I've seen people make the smaller pump work in a Bosch holder but it looks sketchy to me. It would be something I would do to get me home but not to drive around on.

Do you still have the fuel pump?

Yes. My trip to the recycler is tomorrow or Tuesday though I did decide I might leave this on the shelf if no one bought it. A 12v pump could be handy for many projects. It, however, is still for sale.

After some debate I think I will pass on it. I will probably just do a walbro 255 upgrade. Out of curiosity though, where in Atlanta are you located?
