Pics were taken in the winter, car was VERY dirty/salty from snow and sitting since 1999, but you get the idea.

Heres some breif history. I bought the car from a guy 2 towns over from me. His roomate bought the car new in 86, and sold it to him in 88. He and his daughter drove it from the untill 99. In 99 he parked the car in his yard on a tarp. In late 2004 I spotted the car, and looked at it a couple times. I left a note w/ my number in case he ever would sell it. In Late 2005, i went back again, and this time he was home. He decided that he would sell it to me b/c i seemed to know alot about these cars and have the parts to fix it to what it used to be since i had sone that to my shelby z.

I finally bought it in Feb. 06, and drove it home. I registered it and drove it around town a couple times, it runs great. Turbo spooled up great, and the car made good power for a stock T1. It actually would hit over boost (14.7psi) when i really got on it. I had to get it retitled, since he had lost the title, so i know have a valid CT title.

I did no work to the car, but he did ALOT of maintenance. I have a whole folder of all recipts from the car. It reads 114K miles. He said that at around 100k he had the top end pulled and completly gone through. He was told the bottom end was good, and the top end was fine, they just did a rebilt. The turbo was fine, and still is.

The porb w/ the tranny: He pulled the car out of the yard and the Tranny pan hid the curb. It put a small hole or something which made it leak. I thought it was ok to drive, but i guess not. One day while i was aprking i went from reverse to forward kinda quick, and since then it wont go into any gear. It even rolls when in park. I was tolf it was prolly the Differrentail, but it needs to be check by someone who knows trannys. I dont have the time/ wnat to find the problem any more.

The tires are Like New. Rears are a bit better, but all 4 are great shape. I have the recipts showing that he paid $149 per tire in 95, but he didnt have the recipts for the newest ones he put on. They were the same tire though. You can tell these tires have not been on since 95, they are new. They are 225-50-15's, so they are the original, expensive to replace tire size.

The Gold Crab rims are in great shape, and still the original gold paint.

Has Rear window louvers in good shape, prolly could use paint like the rest of the car.

The car was in one accident. His daughter got hit in the side of the car, just missed the driver door. It bent the rear axel assembly thing and sway bar, but he had it replaced with the same CS parts. He had to have them shipped in from out of state since it wasnt available i guess.

The rear quarter still needs to be fixed however, its just a dent, and looks to be an easy fix. While its being pulled, the minor rust over the wheel well lip should be repaired also.

The Spot where the E-brake cable goes through is rotted. I havnt looked under the carpet, but i think it is all the way through. Definatly should be repaired. The pass side is fine, and the spare tire well looks good. The only bad spot is the driver side. Like i said, he parked it on a tarp, so not much grass go to it.

The rest of the body is faded black paint, could use some paint. The chin spoiler on the bumper is cracked as you can see in the pic. I dont have a spare.

The Interior is Great. Its Tan leather, which i am told was rare for a CS turbo z. Definatly a very clean interior. Its manual everything(seat, windows and locks) No power options that i know of, but it does have the digital dash. The Tach on the dash doesnt work though, but everything else was good. The 12 buttom traveler needs to have the connections cleaned, they only work when you push them hrad or several times. I think i have a spare one that works, it will come with the car. Does need a headliner.

I have spare parts for the car in case you should ever need them. I have both front fenders, both doors(with power everything), Hood w/ vent, and a hatch w/ spoiler. All these are off an 86 laser, and will bolt right on. All body parts are black. Also have a spare sunroof glass in great shape, set of headlights, and set of taillights.

Asking $500 as is, with or without the spare parts. Its you choice if you want them, they come with the car for free, my price wont go down if you dont want them.

how can this be an 86 model cs package car and have an auto? the wheels are correct, but the car must have been re-trannied at some point. propective buyers might want to know if it truly has the big sway bar and rear axle, etc!!!

Not trying to argue with anyone, but I just parted a true CS with auto and t-tops. So yes, they could be had from what I have seen.

Good luck on the sale.

Just b/c its an auto means it can't be a CS???? Where do you get your info from?

I have read that there were 7,704 CS's produced in 1986. I am not definate on teat number, but do you really think ALL of them were 5 speed???

Also, The CS package contained 4 things... Bigger anti-sway bar, solid rear bar, new wheels w/ bigger tires, and performance shocks & struts. If you would like me to go out and measure then i will, but whos to say a 20 year old car has the original shocks and struts? An NOWHERE have i seen that the CS package added a 5 speed only option. Unlike in the Shelby Z, were 5 speeds only came with the T2 motor, and all auots had the T1.

And another thing to prove it IS a CS: The CS's were ment to save weight. They took off about 220 pounds for the CS... This included removing alot of the power-assisted items, like power seats, power windows, power locks, high ewnd radio, etc... Now, this Turbo Z CS has NO power options and just the normal tape deck, so thats another hint.

And for it having the bigger rear sway bar, i have not gotten under the car to measure, but if you READ the info i wrote about the car you would have seen this...

The guy who i purchased the car from was an older gentleman, and was NOT the type to go through on some CS badges to make a clone. He didnt even know much about the car, and when i talked about the car being a CS, he asked if that was something special? He thought they all were.

But anyway, If someone was REALLY interested in the car, they can ask me things like this and i will tell them, so are YOU interested in buying the car, but dont believe its a CS, and just wnat to make sure?

That actually isn't true for the 86 C/S. The saved weight was with the 88+. In 86 the C/S was an option on the Daytona TurboZ (top of the line Daytona at the time) I've seen them fully loaded with everything including leather too no power options at all, no A/C, ... nothing. Since it could be on any TurboZ a C/S could also have an automatic tranny. Everything I can see in the pics it appears to be a C/S.

Yep, the 86 C/S was effectively a handling package for the TurboZ. The 88+ C/S was a stripped-down Daytona with a similar handling package.

ok, well then weight savings is just an extra bonus on this car then :)

I guess you can call it a sample of what was to come in 88...

Anyway, its a CS, and someone should buy it:thumb:
