I didn't know if this is common knowledge so I thought I'd pass it along.
I've spoken with Cosworth USA and the said they had complete assemblies in stock. For 10K WHEW!!! However for things like timing belts and tensioners they may be able to help out.

And Crane grinding the cams, I'm willing to bet they they still have patterns lying around,

Just thought this might be helpful.

So Cosworth has new heads sitting on the shelf? Complete, bare castings, castings with no machine work done?

When I spoke with them every part for the set up was there. But must be bought piece by piece. That's the reason for the 10K price tag, however it should lead to the chance to buy seperate items.

And yes, they had heads on the shelf, I didn't ask price tho. Iwanted to built a complete Masi setup and when I found it was 10K for everything I needed I was done at that point.

Wow, that's great to hear. Seems like that would be a viable alternative for us some day.

Hmmm...a good new casting would be nice to have for sure! The valve train bits I would source from RDI as the stock parts leave a bit to be desired.

Cams, too. However, there has to be some custom stuff done for cams ground beyond a certina point. Like many motorcycles with the cam over bucket design, the bucket bore has to have reliefs gound in them to let the lobe clear.

Keep in mind that you still have to get a valve cover, valve cover gasket, intake gaskets, exhaust gaskets, t-stat housing. I doubt they have those items.
