It should start June 22nd and end the 25th or 26th depending on the schedule. That is if they stick to the traditional weekend, which I'm sure they will.

30 years? Damn I remember looking at them at the dealer, I ended up with a Turbo Colt because it was faster.

This is a plus as well and I believe a first that we will know also 6 to 7 months in advance. Should be like this for now on considering sdac would have a much better turnout most likely if we had this kind of notice.

Time will tell. Although I think the vast majority of folks at SDAC each year would be there regardless of the lead time. I'm willing to bet it's much more location dependent.

Not a first to announce location far ahead of time... a coupel times in past years, the next SDAC event's location was "tentatively" announced at the current SDAC event's awards night. I say "tentatively" because some hotels and tracks will simply not discuss the years reservations before January 1st.

Regardless, as Dave and I get the swing of things on hosting the SDAC conventions (we have only done one so far LOL!) one of our goals is to start planning everything further ahead.

Old Matchbox will be 30 in 2014! It darn near hit the 300,000 mile mark this year...missing just another 1200 to get there.

I'll be there! Don't care where it is, this is my new annual holiday. This year I'll be driving my '86 SC solo but last year was an absolute blast, I had the wife and baby with me and our '87 SC on the dolly. People need to attend at least 1, I guarantee it won't be your last. Over 6000 km's round trip such an awesome way to see the U.S!

Yeah Jon, meeting you, 86Shelby Ray, Wes, the list goes on and on, was a great time. I understand what they mean about the "people". For those that don't know my car was overheating because of a missing fuse to the fan relay, these guys (and more) were there to help get my car on the road in time to see the drag races. I hope we have some more guys from the west willing to make the run across the states, here's a pic of some WC-SDAC members (D.J, Stephen, myself and family) on our way to Michigan.
