I know that I need to run synthetic for the turbo, just wonder if one oil is preferred over the others and how often to change it.

Any synthetic is ok really, I used to shop for the cheapest around until one of my suppliers started stocking it reasonably. Some have bad luck with Mobil 1.

I prefer 5w40 due to beating on it and high boost but if its stock, 5 or 10w30 will be fine.

Change it every 3000 miles.

i have run conventional castrol 5w30 and never had a problem!!! dont waste the money on syn, just run castrol con oil and you will be fine!!

I too run synthetic. I have no data to back up the difference, but I have read that it does better in handling the temps seen going through the turbo. I've had a lot of miles on all of my turbos so I'll keep up the practice until real info comes to light.

In a turbo car I have always used synethic oil. I think it can take the heat better than dino oils. I have been using Amsoil 5w-30.

I run synthetic in all my turbo cars, change every 5000 miles, never any issues. My high mileage NA cars get name brand oil and filter every 5000 Miles. (Whatever advance has on sale)

I've always ran Mobil 1 in everything, 10-30 for the van.
