I have a 1996 Sebring JXi that I got because the last owner did not want to put an engine in it.
It recently started running poorly, very rough idle and you could not get the engine to rev.
Today I was able to drive it to an Advanced Auto where they read the codes for me.
It returned two codes, P1297 (MAP pnuematic change - according to their code reader) I looked it up and according to the official code list it is "Target Idle Not Reached"
and code P1294 (idle speed per Advanced Auto) or "No Change in MAP From Start to Run"
Does anybody have experience with what may be wrong? Might it be a sensor that I can replace? I recently changed the idle air speed motor.
