I know its far from ideal but anybody using TO4B cover
with a "h" trim compressor? 2.30"x3.750" wheel in its
correct B cover, .63/stage 2 hot side.

Building a new daily driver (20psi/8v/auto) and I can
get this new turbo for a great deal. No dragstrip plans
just a quick daily driver. I would expect the B cover
.63 stage 2 to get boosting early enough with a 2.5 right?
Don't care about how efficient it is up top, just want
to lay decent boost down before the 5.0 next to me
hits other side of street light.

Here is what an average 2.5 8v runnign 21.5psi looks like when mapped against a T04B H-3 or "H Trim". If you want to use this turbo, then you have to slow the boost ramp up so that it doesnt go into the surge area like seen on the following map. This is partly why the Eclipse drag guys get away with it... their spool up is slow so they can't get into it as easily.

Cool map Frank thanks! My main concern of a laggy daily
driver are not an issue it would seem :)

Ok, someone please tell me how the hell you read that map and determine why its not laggy?

It has nothing to do with the map.... it has everything to do with the turbine.

The current spool up rate that i have listed for that turbo would be a StageIII T3 turbine with .63 a/r. If he has a bigger turbine on there, then he may not have that problem of entering the surge area. I should have made that more clear as he would definently want to determine that for himself. Of course the bigger the turbo to get out of the surge area, the bigger the lag. If it is a T3, he could possibly use a cal slow the boost ramp up?!?!?!?!
