what ar the biggest meats I can fit right now I have 215/45r17

Well it's a YMMV sitch with 225s, some people say they're okay, some say they rub but can be tweaked, (I.e. inner fender guard pinned back etc) some say they rub a lot. Guess 5mm of offset might make a diff, since some might have them on +40 some on +35... Also, some tires can be squarer shouldered than others and a rounder shouldered one might just miss. More than that though, you're usually rubbing the strut, you'll probably find you can only just get teh tip of a finger between it and the tire's you've got...

Probably 225 depending on wheel offset.

Do a search, some have gone wider than 225.
