...But I didn't win my 40th national championship, meet anybody famous or bring home a gigantic prize purse. In fact, I'm not a very big deal around here at all:D But I did have fun today at Willow springs raceway schooling some buds with $450K worth of prancing Horse exotics:eyebrows: It sure takes the sting out of an off course excursion into the dirt that bent a rear trailing arm:o No way to drive home 125 miles with the right rear wheel with 15+ degrees of toe in:confused: Thanks to AAA and a very cool towtruck driver, we're home safe and chillaxing with beverages. Still, it would have been a better story if I was in the money and points or at least a big deal:lol:

That's great Alan. Bummer about the off-roading. You should really leave that to the t-reg if you still have it. Glad to hear that you had a good time though. Do you have any sweet videos of this event?

Thinking of finding aftermarket suspension or just normal replacement? Also, is that an SRT crossfire?

SRT crossfire ftw. Totally underappreciated, always glad to see you posting about it.

If that part isnt SRT specific you could probably get one pretty cheap.

Oh, boy now you've done it. In before Forza and Alan argue about the SRT6's abilities again.

AAA for the win, I broke an axle at the track and they picked me up. Sorry to hear about the damage, but looks like fun while it lasted.

Funny thing about the bent/broken trailing arm componant, it's just a 10" long 'strap' 7/16'ths thick that has two holes drilled into it, right at the two holes is where it bent into a Z shape, almost like they designed it as the failure pont to avoid trashing the control arm or other suspension componants. Will be an easy fix if that the only bent piece, gotta put it on the lift and check it closer this week.

The Ferrari guys are friends of mine, they both let me drive thier cars this weekend:eyebrows: I didn't get any track time in em but the offer was there, I was just busy getting the SRT-6 on the flatbed and home. As far as 'holding my own' I'd say I did a little better than that:evil: Unfortunately the westcoastracinginc.com group is a "high performance driving experience" and thier insurance doesn't allow timed laps, the organizer says that's a whole 'Nuther catagory of insurance so the friendly little wager I had with my buds about fastest lap time was moot without transponders:confused:. On the way to the track 630 Saturday morning I did get a nice 65 to 140MPH roll with the 599 GTB, I gave him the nod to go, he gave it back to me so I did:) I jumped out 1.5 car lengths right away and we pretty much stayed like that til about 120, then he reeled me in and put 1.5 on me by the time we shut it down at 140. Score one for the instant supercharged torque of the SRT6 and one for the superior aerodynamics and top end pull of the 599.:thumb:

Broken parts and towtruck ride aside, it was a great weekend:)

I traded my small but emotionally connected to me fleet of 4 wheel conveyances for the house in the divorce settlement. The title was in my name soooo, it stays with me:) I guess I should set about modding it for another 75WHP with a pulley & tune. Oh and there's that $1700. WaveTrack posi diff that has been gathering dust on top of the box for a couple years:eyebrows: Maybe get rid of the 100lb each heated SRT seats and some creature comforts. The possibilities are endless as a single man:p
