No heim joints on stock linkage, all plastic snap-on ball-and-socket joints. However, the upgrade/GLHS linkage had bushings.

All L bodies had the same linkage with the same plastic connectors and nylon bushings.

Our kit replaces the plastic connectors with steel quick connects and the nylon bushings with hi strength oillite bushings.

I have converted several GLHS's and all of them had the same factory linkage. (Plastic)

Sorry Johnny, I just realized this was posted to your vendor corner forum.

NO Problem, I changed mine back in 1995. GREAT up-grade.
The rod ends NEED changed! Mine popped off when the car only had 2000 miles on the odometer.
The bushings that all things swivel on are a dealer item....
part number 05206161 and was still available couple months ago.

I just looked at your kit again, it looks better than the kit I have. Years newer, years better.
Maybe I should up-grade mine again...when I start working on it to get it on the road again.
Wagon needs finished first. Hope I remember how to use that 5-speed still! :)

I know, I call those plastic joints, plastic heim joints, lol.

Ajeski's kit is awesome,

I guess that's a no? lol, so you're saying that the dealer still supplies the main shift rod bushing?

Ajakeski's kit is nice, but I'm just trying to make this car driveable to sell. I will probably buy a kit for my GLHS though.

Those bushings are for the brackets which ride on the pivot rod on the back of the trans and the shifter I believe. I think I threw out the piece you need recently or I would have sent it to you.

Why would you do that? :banghead:

Why would you do that? :banghead:

Because I would never use it again, and it was one of the few pieces I didn't out and out destroy while installing the Great Lakes Hotrod kit.

 :faint:

Soo, maybe there is a need for this bushing?

Which one are you referring to? The one you need or the ones you bought?

You are wanting the rod ends. I dont make them and not likely going to because no sales. Or at least not many. Beside there is such a better alternative in the parts/kit listed above.

I'll figure something out.
