So I have what may be considered a small issue. The wga on my car doesn't have a strong enough spring and I'm replacing it with a stronger one. The problem is the placement of the probe for my egt gauge, it's right in the damn way. I don't need it anymore, the guage itself crapped out a while back and I replaced it with a wideband, but I left the probe as I had no way to plug the hole.
So, now do I get a steel plug and use that, or would a cast iron one be better? I'm concerned the quality of the cast iron plugs would be less than optimal and it wouldn't last.
I know this is an unlikely scenario for this group considering how plentiful exhaust manifolds are, but it's worth a shot.
