Iam building a 65 dart/charger doing with the cheapest of cheap.

Parts that i have
rebuilt 360
edlebrock trqr II 340 intake
2 holset hx35s or he341 havnt decided yet if i want some more low end or more top
308 casting bigvalve heads with dual springs
crane blazer cam
msd 6btm "setup for boost"
magnum dakota headers
bunch of U bends and 2 t-3 flange
rebuilt 904 with 2600 stall

Getting close to putting it in the car, the car had a set of fenderwell headers thats where iam going to run my downpipes no mufflers.
I will get some pics up of the process.

For you holset buys iam guessing the factory wastegate is set somewhere 15-25psi probley not likely but what have some of you done to run 10-15psi

Awesome! My brother has an he341 on his 2.5 and with the wastegate actuator it would run whatever we set the grainger to 10-17 psi is what we tried so far.

yeah iam not sure on the 341s they probley do have a lower boost setting i guess i could rob both actuators and put them on my 35s maybe i would be better off going with the 341s since i will be at such a low boost #. I have a 5.7 hemi with a rod knocking that iam slowly building as i enjoy the 360 my goal is 550-650whp wich is very easy going to run it like that for awhile then try for 800whp not sure how the 360 will like it but iam going to find the limit once the 5.7 is done. So far ive gotten everything for free or already had it except for the trans iam about 675$ into it as i have a family friend that rebuilds trans for a liveing and did this one at cost for me.

Is this an actual "Dartcharger" ??

Careful with the BTM, they like to tear the diaphram and then it goes boom. Low boost should be fine.

What are your plans for the fuel side? Pump, lines, return, regulator

Also what are you doing carb wise?

I am not sure yet on the fuel setup i got a buddy helpin me with the blowthru setup iam just getting all the hard parts hes got a 9sec 427BBC truck block with stock 396 heads nothing fancy procharged firechicken with a 750 demon that doesnt miss a beat anywhere he took me for a ride on and off the throttle, quick chop no matter what it dont miss a beat, but talk about like being on ice man never been in a car that fast 70mph just instantly bangs off the limiter.

yes it an acutal dartcharger they had some special package back then not sure never really cared as iam not a fan of early a's exspecially when you got a 414ci 69 4speed swinger, 2 70 bees, and a nasty dodge a-100. This is just something fun to mess with that isnt really costing alot of money atleast untill the addiction sets in. The r/t on on the back burner for now

The Dartcharger is just an appearance package available on 273-4bbl cars, special emblems, woodgrain wheel & a set of 13" Cragar SS wheels . I realize it's not your bag, but since I'm heavy into vintage Mopars I'm curious. I'm assuming it has the Dart Charger 273 Emblems, what is the color scheme, yellow over black ??

We actually had two of the charger darts the otherone was a 4speed car with fenderwell headers as well. Iam just not a fan of early a's but early b-bodys are my fav my dream car is a 64 426 max wedge black with red guts plymouth or dodge. People forget just how badass those cars were you couldnt buy a car as ready to race as a max wedge 13:1 compression factory manifold/headers with built in dumps all you needed was a better cam slicks and tuneing.

I was looking all summer for a Dartcharger or Formula S 273-4bbl 4-spd car, funny how they turn up in the most unexpected places. I've owned plenty of Hemis, 6-packs & Max Wedges, but never a 273-4bbl.....I ended up buying another '70 Challenger R/T instead, now I'm MEGA out of room...Yeah, Max Wedges were plenty fast, the Hemi gets all the credit but the wedges were well into the 11's before the Hemi reappeared...

Yes you can weld SS to regular. I've done it on every day kind of stuff just using regular tig wire, but if it's for your exhaust you might want to wait till someone chimes in and tells you what wire/rod to use. (I have to look up $hit like that, as I don't think about it often enough)

On the low boost, you just need to really port the W/G holes open and you should be good. Are the actuators adjustable?

Yes the acuators are adjustible, just never seen anybody run low boost with a holset atleast 20lbs or less, been talking with a guy he seems that my turbos will be on the small side on the exahust so i will be porting the wastegate hole as much as i can help releive some of the drive pressure
