Okay well we got most the wiring sorted out and itll start up and idle, but it isnt spot on, getting some black smoke when on throttle in neutral. I connect the scanner and its def. not right, I have 5.00v and knock sensor, map volts are all over, it shows no rpm's...werid cause itll start right up.....basically its wired so when the key is on the power is sent to all power feeds(is this okay?)..we have good grounds, or so it appears right now. Have a stock T2 manual smec in it right now with 2bar map. Any thoughts on the subject? Thanks in advance. BTW I tried and different smec same issues. Gonna check all the major sensor runs in morning.

Does it have any codes? Probably not if the battery loses power every time you shut it off. It needs to have a battery feed to keep the memory for codes and the computer learns as it goes to help it run better.

what do you mean by volts on sensors not hooked up? The code 12 is normal, and code 14 is triggered if the air charge temp is not plugged in.

You have any pics or a project log for this thing? I would love to see it.

Sounds like the scantool is not using the correct cal ID. You'll get data like then when using an incorrect model year, etc...
