82 Rampage block for 89 CB mock up?

Would the block from my Rampage be a decent mock up block for a common block? Kicking a few ideas around and didnt want to buy a dead CB from a junkyard if I can avoid it. The mechanical fuel pump on the front threw me for a minute, forgot about those...

I don't see why not. A couple of the accessories are different, but everything still bolts in the same way.

What he said, its virtually the same externally barring a few minor differences that won't affect any mockup. Just remember the L body has the heater hose connection at the waterpump housing.
