I recently disassembled a set of SC hubs I bought and installed new hub bearings. When I went to install the new inner grease seals I find they are too small and have no interference fit in the hub. I took the old seals and cleaned them up in the solvent tank and test fitted them in the bore and they are also loose with no interference fit. They were difficult to remove but not too bad seemed to be a normal amount of retention. Is this normal? Are you supposed to glue these in or something? Any info appreciated I don't want to have problems with these seals as the bearings were pretty expensive. The hub kits are NAPA PGB brand. I cannot find any part numbers on the new or old seals. Thanks.
