Hey guys, so I hooked up my EGT and Boost gauge lights on my 87 LeBaron. They are mounted in the center dash. I found a port in the harness that only had electricity flowing through it when the headlights turned on which is what I wanted. I hooked them up to that wire and basically my car ran TERRIBLE! I turn on the headlights and my car could barely reach 80KM/h. So I unhooked the wires and my car ran back to normal. Any advice? What wires do I hook these 2 gauges up to!

orange wire out of the back of the gauge cluster should be for lights IIRC.

This should help a bit. http://www.glmwpg.com/ServiceManuals/87p.PDF

thats for the site, cant believe I never knew about this site!!
Still cant find proper wire diagrams though. All I need to know is which wire do I hook to the Gauge light wire (orange)

I had the lights working but when I turned them on with my exterior lights my engine ran like hell! I dont get that. Maybe I am over charging my alternator?

I highly doubt that those little bulbs are causing a problem with the alternator.

Just pull power from the radio connector. Check to see which one comes on with the headlights. IIRC it is one of the first ones on the left on the left connector.
