Has anyone ever reused one? I've tried one before and liked how well it worked and the ease of installation. I'm wondering if they're reusable though?

I like the FEL-PRO Part # 35651 for thermostat gasket. It's a aluminum piece with silicone inside, the silicone is nice and thick. Haven't have to take it apart in a year, probably reusable.

Reusable if its like the one Tryingbe has shown. I loved it on my 8 valve, great for summer/winter thermostat changes.

given that the basic "cardboard" type of gasket material holds up for years, if it's anything else it should be okay... or you can cut another out of whatever you can find... tractor inner tube, wife's silicone bakeware, heavy duty cardboard, cork pinboard (a fresh bit no pinholes) etc etc... holding up to 15psi while clamped between two wideish flanges, and surviving hot water is not an especially critical job.

Could even "O" ring it with copper, that would give you something to boast about at the next ricer meet. :D

Thanks. I'll get one like this the next time. I had a little trouble with mine today because I need a new water neck. I think a tad thicker gasket would have worked well.
