I have a spare Daytona Shelby solid torsion bar, wide track rear axle that I want to trade for a decent (IE, not bent, mangled, or rotten) hollow tube narrow rear axle. Mine is a 'small' bushing rear end from a '90 Daytona. Obviously, needs to be in or at least near SE Michigan. Not interested in shipping this thing...

Let me know if you got something...

I just checked... my 'spare' is actually an oval bushing, '91+ rear axle; Wide track, 1-1/8" solid rear tosrion bar. Anyone trade me for a narrow, hollow bar, round bush, rear axle?

Anyone have a hollow-tube rear axle at all in the Michigan Lower Peninsula?

I'd love to trade you... but I'm too far away. When the tube broke (again) for me, I swapped in one from a Lancer ES. Narrow hollow tube, as it was all I could find at the wrecker. I had a wide hollow tube before, and I've been thinking those rear wheels look too far inset ever since.

Because of the weight savings for drags?

Yep. My new class has a min weight about 400lbs lower than where I'm at now. I know I'll never (legally) get down there, but every pound helps...

Hmm that seems like more work than just changing the bar in mine to hollow...

Why not just cut the bar out.

Why not just cut the bar out.

If that's what it comes down to, I will. But, I also have this late-model solid bar rear end that I need to get rid of...

Or keep for another "future" car.

Rob, if you want to sell it outright, we would be interested in buying it for our stock car project. I am in the upper peninsual, but I work with a guy that comes down that way frequently and would pick it up for us. I could pay you for it right away and just pick it next time he comes that way. Let me know.

Yeah, that sounds fine.
