I have a turbo 2 car n trying to figure out how to tell which wire is which on the o2 sensor cuz i need to kno which one is the signal wire for my air fuel ratio gauge. thanks

3 wire or 4 there are a ground power ans signal one. ckeck for ground on one then check for voltage on other two with key on

Its a 3 wire. two blacks and a white. I dont wanna sound dumb but how do i.do that?

well ground will showw with just a test light to pos side of battery then check which one light the light, the 12 volts will have on ned side of battery then turn key on the rff. wire will be the onthat does not light the light. hope that helps

What year car?

Usually the white wire will be the signal as the 2 same colours are for the heater. If the white wire is the signal, it will have 0-1 volts.

88 dodge lancer shelby. so the one i have to splice ito is the white. What do u mean by heater?

They have a built in heater to get to operating temp faster, 2 wires are for the heater, the same colour-one is +12 and the other is a ground. You don't want to splice into the actual sensor but the computer side.

right. i have to make sure i tap into after the plug cuz if i ever have ta replace the o2 sensor i wood be screwed. ok ill tap into the white one n leave the black wires go. thank u very much
