Hey guys, I have my 1987 daytona and I am trying to decide on an intercooler. I thought about the Budget one one turbosunleashed but I kinda wanna go bigger. Is there anything you can think of in Junk yard that are big and I can make work?! Thanks!:hail:

http://www.frozenboost.com/product_info.php?cPath=207&products_id=201&osCsid=38d790ade12375743a95916d0c102f98 Run a pipe beside each frame rail by enlarging 2 factory holes. Should fit right up against the radiator and clear the headlights.

Here's some pics showing how to route the pipes. This is a 1st gen cummins installed in my daytona. http://www.pnw-sdac.org/gallery/v/Members+Rides/Jay+Jochec/Cummins+IC+in+Daytona/ It cools well but barely flows better than a stocker.

I'm replacing the cummins with this http://www.treadstoneperformance.com/product.phtml?p=34&cat_key=63&prodname=TRV25+Series+Intercooler++1000HP still will use the same pass throughs in the sheet metal between the rad supports. I was lucky and found it on Ebay for 1/2 price :)

IMO this is the best way to route pipes in these cars. It keeps the holes small. If you start moving rad's and loosing a/c and not sealing up those holes you start hurting downforce and cooling efficiency.

a friend is running their water/air i/c in his minivan. It's a decent cooler for the price. We've been happy with it. I'd assume their air/air is of similar quality and function.
