My Daytona idols at a really high rpm. And when i turn the key to start it.. it sounds normal like the starter.. then it like cuts out and doesn't want to start then it starts all a sudden and idols really high. And if you put it in drive or reverse it dies.. or you have to drive 2 footed.. its an auto t1

Do you have all the vacuum lines hooked up properly? Even a small vacuum leak in the TI log cars will cause a very high idle.

I had this problem in my charger when I had it. Check the TPS (Throttle Positioning sensor) wires near the throttle body. Mine were loose and the RPMs would shoot up whenever the car started or I came to a complete stop. It was really freaking annoying..

Did you mess something up when you did the fuel lines? Are the injectors properly sealed at the intake manifold? Did you break or improperly route the vacuum lines? Codes?

There is a small round like piece that has a hose on one side but nothing on the other.. it says vac on it. It is right under the throttle body

You can email it to me and I'll put it up or you can use photobucket etc. to host it and then link to it.

Yeah.. that is not my photo but that is what I'm talking about. I have the hose going into the left side of the round thing. But not the one on the right coming out of it. Is this what is causing my problem possibly?

Any vacuum leak on a TI log car is bad news. Cap it off and see what it does for you. I don't recall what that does, but it doesn't look very important.
