Recently I went on a trip with my CSRT to a family reunion in SW Minnesota. Very pleased with the mileage this car is getting! I have approximately 22k miles on the car now with the only mod being the Mopar S1 ecu. I filled up in Gillette, WY (where I live) and right away the average MPG rose to about 30 MPG and continued to climb slowly. About 300 miles into the trip it hit a peak of 36.0 MPG! That was cruising at 70 MPH at about 2250 RPM in 6th gear. Just me and a back pack full of clothes in the car with a fully optioned CSRT. On the return trip, I also had a CSX rear axle in the hatch that I bought from shelbycsx4me (Steve in Iowa), which easily fit with the rear seat backs folded down.

Upon returning home after about 1100 miles, the average MPG was right at 32.0 MPG. After filling up and dividing the miles by gallons used, the driver info center in the cluster seems pretty darn accurate. Cruising at 70 MPH, I am confident that the range on a full tank would be about 450 miles. I must say that this car has been the ultimate road tripping vehicle. Plenty of room, great MPG, awesome stereo with nav and sirius/xm, very comfortable on long trips even with the airbag seats, and way more power on tap than my older turbo Mopars. Lately I've been considering buying into the Dart SRT-4 when they become available....I will most definitely be selling off my older cars before trading in the CSRT to make that happen if and when I do make that decision.

yes, we had 5 people and luggage in the car on our trip to Chicago a couple of years ago. Averaged 29 mpg doing 75-80 mph..... around town though we only get about 22-25mpg. Not bad for a 300+ whp vehicle!

That 6th gear makes a big difference on the highway.

Yes, helps make it quieter while cruising too. I see about a 500 RPM drop at the same road speed when shifting from 5th to 6th gear.

Probably the main reason the 1.4t dart gets 39 on the highway while 500 abarth is only rated 34 highway.

Interesting, they begin to justify their existence to me. (Wifey actually likes the "cut of it's jib" as it were, so I put my foot down and said, "we're never having one ever unless it's the SRT-4..." )

Probably the main reason the 1.4t dart gets 39 on the highway while 500 abarth is only rated 34 highway. Also those retro body shapes suck donkey balls for aero, probably the dart has 2/3 or less the cD of the 500

Wow, I'll be adding one of these to my list of vehicles to look at.

0.2 litres per 100km = 1176 mpg :p

edit: That was an ~11,000 mile average too :D

edit2: though I dunno how it figures I got ~220lb of carbon emissions out of about 90lb of fuel... or was that when I had the Mr Fusion hooked up, hmmmm...

No the Escort, but since I appear to have done better than 3000 mile an hour also, I thought it illustrated an amusing electronic SNAFU
