Looking for a non-bored/honed common-block and crank & caps (89+) for a rebuild. No cracks please. A 2.2L is preferred, but can be 2.5 as long as the balance shaft holes are blocked.

Let me know what you have. Minnesota or Wisconsin preferred to help save on shipping.

Looking for a fresh or useable (non sleeved please) common-block (89+) for a rebuild. Would prefer something that has already been refreshed (i.e. hone or overbore, mag'd, etc).

Let me know what you have. Minnesota or Wisconsin preferred to help save on shipping, not necessary though.

You don't want something already bored, you want it bored for your pistons. Most machine shops only charge 70 bucks or so to bore/hone 4 cylinders.

I have a 2.5 that needs a bore. I broke number four and it lightly gouged the cylinder wall. $50 bucks come pick it up.

I would do that but you're a million miles away. Wouldn't want to ship would you?

I looked into shipping an engine and it would have to go freight and would cost an arm and a leg. The only way it would be economical is if I stripped out all the internals and shipped the block only.

Yeah, I'm guessing at least a $100–$150. I gotta pass then. Thanks though!

Still looking. Ideally looking for something in or around Minnesota so we don't have to ship.

Tony,
Did you check with Jim G.? He had lots of blocks at one time. I have a standard bore 2.2 TII. Block only. This is a unique block because it does not have balance shaft provisions. One of the ears on the tranny end of block is broke off exactly half way through the bolt hole. I probably was like this since almost day one with no ill effects. I also have a fresh cut cast crank that would bolt in. I have plenty of rear and front bearing retainer plates. Not sure about CB oil pan. You have a set of HW rods right?

Yes Todd, I have HW rods. I'm interested in that block if you think it can be of use. The cast crank is perfectly fine as well. Send me a message or give me a call (763.245.8243) would ya?

I'll check in with Jim (from Otsego?)

Still looking for a 2.2L CB. Looking for one in the Minnesota/Wisconsin area. Let me know what you have.
