Here are two cell phone pics, #933, as acquired this morning.40779
40778

65,000 on the odo, it's all there, sun beaten, interior is just OK, no tears in seats, headliner is dead, carpet filthy, don't know how the seat fabric will hold up as it might be brittle. Sun roof seal and door felts/rubbers are dead. Konis are there, stock exhaust, engine apparently evaded molestation. Seller said "not running but it used to start up and idle . . ."

Nice find John! Looks alot like mine (less the big dent in the rear quarter)!

What are your plans for it?

Nice find...

... surprised they're still turning up... which is rather embarassing, 'coz it probably means that only people we know ever scrapped them... everybody else stashed them away :D

Thanks guys; cancelled an appointment to get the trailer and make it happen.
Plans? sheesh I dunno, just to save it, to get it at a great price - $500

More pics, cribbed from the Craig's List ad, and the ad too.

Sweet. Looks quite a bit like 937 did when Jon save it.

So . . . what color are the intake runners?

Yes, I'm obsessing a little.

Wonder if there's anything you can do to the seat fabric before you stress it and possibly split it.

Ooh, didn't know it was a "very rear" one, you'll have to make it extra forward to compensate or something.

Well I just thunk or something experimental that may partially replasticise and should prevent further UV damage, something they put in some hair conditioners called polyquaternium-59 or PQ59 ... trouble is, finding it without a load of oily crap which might stain funny.

Also seeing washing tips for old/delicate fabrics, first baking soda to break up proteins, then murphy's oil soap for breaking up oil/grease stains, then a gentle wool detergent like woolite.

It IS "very rear"! It's the first '88 GLHS that I've ever seen!

Yeah, the fabric . . . . I suspect that if there is UV damage, then the damage is done, just age too. As for future UV damage, well a car cover will handle that.

Thanks all for the enthusiasm.

Nice find, hope you got a good price on it. Looks like its in decent condition! Judging by the # on the plaque it's a CA car, so hopefully no or little rust.
