contemplating putting my a413 out of my 89 turbo van into my 87 shelby charger (with '88 2.2 t2 and getrag 555 5 speed). will this work? got a link to a swap writeup?

Should work like it was made to fit.... issues will be, correct flexplate, correct axles, correct mounts, but those are all available, nothing custom.

I use one in my current omni and love it. Although my omni was originally an auto.

Yes, it will work fine, don't forget that L body's came with auto's. Just use 88-90 auto L body axles as L body's only got small spline.

Any problem with intercooler hoses with the automatic?? Stock intercooler??

Manual only got small spline so you HAVE to use 88-90 auto axles or make something up.
Not sure about IC hoses but regular cars have no issues with that when running an auto with the stock IC setup.

GLHS hose will not clear an auto.
I tried it, I made a hose from a radiator hose from NAPA, hat the 90 and 45 all in a one.
