Description: I have a Precision factory reman PT6262 billet wheel turbo for sale, still in the Precision box with Precision packaging. It has a .63 T3 (ford style) turbine cover with wastegate hole. It has the S compressor cover that is also ported shroud. It is NOT water cooled. It is journal bearing.

This turbo is not for the faint of heart, women (or men) that are pregnant, or people with low self esteem. This turbo made over 500whp and 500 lb/ft of torque to the wheels on my 2.5L in my OMNI at a bit over 30psi.

These cost over $1000 new.

More info can be found here:

http://www.precisionturbo.net/Street-and-Race/ss/600-800HP/details/Street-and-Race-Turbocharger---PT6262-CEA®/245

Note: This is NOT my old blown turbo, mine was too far gone to rebuild, so I bought this from Precision and didn't use it.

A photo showing the items you have for sale/trade needs to have a piece of paper with your username and date included in the photo.

I thought I had a picture on my phone or laptop, but sorry I don't. I can get one this weekend (out of town).

Here is exactly what it looks like though:

The above details are not optional. This is to protect buyers... just put yourself in their shoes.

Size 12 and prefer New Balance if tennis style, or Dr. Martins if boots. Thanks.

Would this turbo be ok on a mildly built t2. Tax time if its still on the market

damn, I thought I was the only short dude with size 12's... must be why we stomp the pedals so well ;)

Yeah, thats bigger than the 35R I have on my 2.4L... should fly!

A mild setup might not benefit as much from a larger turbo like this as much as a heavily built setup would.

This turbo is huge for a mild 2.2. I wouldnt touch it for that app, personally.

Best of luck with sale, though!

That's probably a longer technical discussion than would be appropriate for a for-sale thread, but this turbo would be best suited for a 600-700 hp combination.

Vigo

And even then its worth pointing out that most of the cars that have run 10s in this community only made 400-500hp. So basically this is a turbo for an 'all out' build.

Cylinder head that can breath. Fuel pump and injectors that can flow. Chassis that can withstand the torque. Transmission that will last. Intake and exhaust that will allow the air flow.

What's the point of putting a 500hp turbo in a 100hp car?

Depends on your definition of "mildly"

How used? And I'll need some $$ to go with it :thumb:

Any idea on how this would fit a higher flow, lower boost application? (as in a small block v8)

BadAssPerformance
12-27-2012, 05:13 PM
What displacement and RPM?

Vigo
12-28-2012, 01:12 AM
To be VERY general, this turbo is big for a 4 cylinder and small for a v8.

Dr.Evil

It would be on a Ford 351C, 6500RPM max. Don't need anything crazy, just something quick spooling and relatively easy to plumb up (ie not water cooled). Max boost would probably be 10-12psi.

Vigo
12-30-2012, 02:33 PM
Well, if this turbo is big for a 2.5l, 2 would be big on a 5.0, but one would still be pretty dang small on a 5.7. Will it work? Sure. But if you're going to run an undersized turbine id make sure your exhaust flowpath includes a high-flowing wastegate with a good flowpath in front of it or you may have big boost control issues.

BadAssPerformance

I think it It would probably work OK on a 351C with the "dotn need crazy" and wanting "decent spool"

fleckster

It would probably seriously spool and make a Turbo III in a Spirit R/T fly like a MoFo... I wonder how much clearance it would have to the firewall. Does it have a stock style wastegate canister set up or is it for external wastegate?

Reeves

Larry Jolifee (sp?) had a Precision 6152 on his Spirit R/T with no firewall massaging that I remember. This is pretty much the same size on the outside as that turbo he had.

It is setup for internal wastegate. I'd recommend a ATP Ultimate Internal.

Dang.

Reeves for what's it worth, I paid about the same for a 50 trim journal bearing turbo. I thought this would have been a great deal for me had it a v-band discharge. To be clear, I think this is a killer deal given this is like a 70 trim.

To the people using this size turbo: when is it starting to make boost? As a totally subjective question: how was around town drivability? It's not exactly what I want, but for the price I might just have to give it a shot. I know it's a good turbo since I've read so many good things about it, I'm just curious how it reacts on "our" cars.

Hard to get opinions on it since your going to be running it on the Masi head right.

For comparison, the SRT-4 guys are getting full boost at about 45-4700 rpm with this turbo.
