I made a 3" downpipe and exhaust today. Took about 15 hours in the blazing heat today but it was worth it. Lots of cutting and tacking to get everything where I wanted it. It is tucked up in the car and I have no rattles and no scrapes.

Here is a little preview of my welding.

Exhaust from resonator back. I tacked the hangers and welded them with the exhaust on the car. Overhead tig welds under a car at night are not easy. Going to finish it up with a mig tomorrow.

Now I'd be wondering, if it would be easier to leave the hangers long, unbent, with extra length, dealing with where they are, then bending to fit under the car... that way, you get to do a very nice sound weld on the bench, and avoid the problem of the hangers cracking off and holing the exhaust (in 2 or 3 years time) Just a thought from looking at the pix.
