well finally made down the track at wot.1st run was 15.33@87.54 mph. My A/f was still rich at 10.3-10.9 the whole run.

I just ran 15.23@88.01 mph. A/F is still in the 10's, Also I am not doing a burn out yet so it does chatter a little bit each time. my best 60' with the old set up was 2.15, tonight I've only done a 2.18 with a very small wheel spin. I might try my stock TII injectors.

just did 14.82@89.65 mph, 2.10 60' with a little spin. I will try a burn out next run. I built this car to run in nhra stock eliminator for DF/SA, the index is 15.6, and have to weigh a minimum of 3115 lbs. I am at 3130 tonight.

I just got home from mission. I made 14 runs tonight. On my last run at 9:15, I broke something off the line, I think its an axle, I will check tomorrow morning. Johnny my car is an all original 1987 T&C wagon. I will probably come down and run woodburns divisional race with it in stock. Do you go to that race Johnny?

So is the car still running a log intake? What mods? Those are some really good times for a "stock" log k car.

Its a TII conversion, no IC IIRC.

I put a 1 peice on it so I can claim it as a 88'. I only have a few mods, the engine is all original 50,000 miles, 1 peice intake, 88' air box with kompact series 20mm bov inside, rebuilt trans with spool 2.86 gear, I let it shift automatically at 6000 rpm, stage 5 computer from fwdp, +20% injectors, and 3bar map, and an oem 3ft 2.5 inch down pipe blended to 3 feet of 3 inch turned down at my gas tank., and a aem wide band.

That is the factory ring and pinion set up from that tranny. I scrapped out a 87' log daytona and kept the trans to use as a core. I was only going thru the finish line last night at 4400 rpm. I just bought a core with the 1.22 side gears in it, and I will try those eventually.

Damn, you got lucky, 1.22 gears are hard to find.

I fixed the woody today, it was the inner cv joint on the passengers side broken. lucky the boot kept everything inside.

just wounding when the cv broke how bad of torque steer did you have with the spool ?

no torque steer at all. the instant I heard and felt the bang I pulled over to the wall, it was right on the launch. I just backed up and drove it back to the pits and put it on my trailer.

thanks i run a spool on the street in rattrap and never broke a shaft yet i was worried it would have pulled like a bastard .

its not spinning now, just ran 14.46 at 90.6 mph. So james you have a le baron convertible?

yup 94 vert gtc and i blew out the rear glass and ripped the top all in on shot thanks to my lovely wife.

I made 10 runs last night,ran the same 16 psi as last week, just started doing a little burn out for perfect traction.

I am just trying to go quick, with minimal between round work. Drive it up 160 degrees, make the run come back add gas if need be. You guys got any of those passenger side half shafts?

those are the ones that go into the tranny, and then bolt to the back of the block, right? On a side note,when I broke the axle in the woody I moved my tech card over to my 88' reliant 2.5 tbi wagon and ran it. It went a blistering 19.52 at 69.2 mph, and I won first round with it.

yes it is the intermate shaft and i have a passengers cv alxe shaft as well which happens to be the same as the diver side.

They are also down to running just the right hand lane. They said there is oil weeping up from the clean up. I might do 1 more and get the heck out of here, I'm going down to Tacoma tomorrow morning for a couple of days.
