Awesome pizza place at SDAC 18?????

Ok, my memory isn't what it used to be, but sometimes I remember things and usually food is one of them :)

I have a recollection of a group of guys going out to eat one night at SDAC 18, and it was probably lead by Bill Gamalski. They went to a pizza place IIRC, and when they came back they couldn't shut up about how good it was.

Now, Im sure this scenerio falls into one of 3 or 4 catagories:

1) it really happened.
2) it really happened but it was at a different SDAC
3) they did go to eat, but the food sucked and they were blowing smoke up my backside.
4) Im on crack.

if it really happened, I want to go this year.

I suggested a place that year, called Loui's. I know a few went to it and talked about it for some time after, even on here. It is only about 4 miles from my house. It is in Hazel Park on Dequindre Rd just north of 9 Mile Rd. JT, Dave, Craig, and I went there when JT & Dave came to Detroit to pick up the SDAC stuff from me.

this pizza place is 17.5 miles or 23 min from the hotel i might stop there on the way to the hotel

That is definitely the place! Butch Suppe told us about it as he used to live close by, some of the best pizza I've ever had! LOVE the deep dish Sicilian style pizza... Just one more reason I wish I were there!

Me, Brad, Mike, Brad's stepson, Butch, Chris, and Johnny went there on the advice of Butch and we all fell in love with the place. Everytime SDAC comes up we bring up the pizza place at 18. Brad posted about it in the SDAC-22 thread.

I have plans to hit it up again on this trip.

Funny thing is, when we were there, they were packing up a few pies in dry ice for FedEx delivery... So they do it, which is where I got the idea... But if making the FedEx think it's a kidney will get it to me faster and in better condition...
