88 CSX-T 154k miles, while driving in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear at low RPM usually around 2,000 RPM my car begins to studder and bogs a little. Any ideas? I replaced the cap and plug wires less than a year ago, spark plugs about two years ago. Timing should be good since I set it not too long ago. Fuel pressure should be good as well

Update: a few days ago I changed out the rotor with a new one with no improvement. Today I replaced distributor and new HEP coil. Drove it around about 10 miles on the streets and it seemed to run fine. Problem mostly occurs upon acceleration in 1st gear from a stop. Hopefully it fixed the problem but I will let you all know. Possibly will be replacing the cat in the near future if problem persists.

I wouldn't just replace parts in the hopes that it will solve the problem. You could end up spending alot of $ without solving the problem.

Have you run the codes to see if you have any failed sensors?

Is your vacuum good at idle?

Is your base timing at 12 degrees?

What is the fuel pressure under load?

How old are the fuel filter and air filter?

Thnks ScottD, I found the problem, it was the distributor.
