Does anyone know the fuel situation for SDAC 22? Will it be a find the local Sunoco station or will the track have some? I'm considering bringing my own but still don't know how I feel about another 5 gal sitting in my back hatch area for 33hrs.

On my initial search I found a couple Turbo Blue stations fairly close to the host hotel (<10 miles away). I know the track has race gas, but I don't know what arrangements have been made.

Looks like Novi is the closest Turbo Blue distributor.

You must use 93 octane or below to be eligible for top gun. Says so in the fine print. They will have octane teting after each event, even the car show.

You don't want to run pump gas? Where's your sense of adventure?

I'll be leaving it 1825 miles away at home with my trailer ;)

http://www.turboblue.com/mich.aspYeah, that's the distributor, but not a station. Here are the ones closest to the motel:

Turbo Blue Racing available at:

110 Octane

Citgo 3010 Rochester @ Auburn
Rochester

Citgo 1740 Crooks @ 12 Mile
Royal Oak

Sunoco 5684 Highland (M-59) @ East of Airport
Waterford

Sunoco race fuel available here:

3224 Crooks Rd, Royal Oak, MI

510 W Huron St, Pontiac, MI

The Turbo Blue in Waterford and Rochester, and the Sunoco in Pontiac are all within a 15-20 minute drive from the motel.

FWIW, the Sunoco station in 'downtown' Milan has Turbo Blue at the pump.

There's also a Sunoco at the East Territorial Exit of US23 that has Turbo Blue at the pump. If you're coming across M59 and down US23 to get to Milan, you'll go right by it. It's a little cheaper there than in town at Milan.

Some other stations (farther away but...) Birchrun has 110, Clio has 110 or 115(they have unleaded 115), and Northbranch has 105 or 110 dont recall.

If you're coming across M59 and down US23 to get to Milan .... And that would be the long scenic route from the motel area. Probably would add 30-45 minutes to the normal hour's drive to the track.

For the ones on my list, in the past I've bought at the Citgo and the Sunoco on Crooks Rd. Both were somewhat reasonable. But it has been a while since then.

During SDAC 18, I bought race gas at the gas station at 200 North Opdyke Road. I think it was a "Fast Track" station (that's what shows up on Google Maps now also).

Very close to the hotel...the question is do they still sell race gas?

I have requested that fuel is available at Milan and will re-iterate this to them before we get there
