WHY DID I DO THAT!! i had been running a stock TII 1989 garret on my shadow for about a month now with some mods and today coming hard down the highway its bearings failed big time.there is no bugs for at least 20 miles there now.So even though I am positive this has been asked a million times , i would like to know what turbo would be best for my mods .I have a 1991 shadow auto ,plan must have goal is 275WHP ,so witht he mods and bigger intercooler i have here in this site, http://www.cardomain.com/ride/677471/1
what turbo will run that HP level with good spool for the auto comfortably ? i will pay a good price for a new one.no more used!!

From faster spool to more power.

Mitsubishi, TI/TII garrett, Super 60, T3/T4, ...etc..

The Super 60 will support your horsepower goals, but, the best thing to do is contact us so we can ask you a few more questions about your set up. There are a few unique options we offer that can provide you with enhanced spool up and driveability.

Oh.. whatcha doin with the blown garrett? I'm interested in it if you have no plans for it.

By the way.. GET that shad going man! The van is almost complete and we gotta have a 4 TD cruise night before the snow flies! .. and of course a rip up to the Miramachi to the drags.

I thought some guys were grumbling that a s60 on a stock headed 2.2 is not the best combo as far as lag goes???

maybe. But his is a ported/polished one with a 3 angle valve job on a 2.5L.

Nope, S60 on a 2.2 is a wicked combo. Its basically a stock turbo housing with a big wheel inside, stage 2 turbine I believe and a .63 a/r housing. If I built another DD, I would run one, no questions asked.

If interested, over at TD, someone is selling a brand new TII for $500.

IIRC the S60 is usually a S1 wheel.

A S-60 is a T3 super 60 trim wheel in a stock .42 A/R comp housing, A 360 degree thrust bearing, the stock or stage 1 turbine wheel, and the famous .63 A/R turbine housing. I wanted to clear this up just in case there is any confusion......
