edelbrock performer intake for a 360 V8. For 1992 and newer...to fit a magnum engine.
( For a carb, but going to convert it to TBI)
Anyone have one they want to sell or know of the best place to get one?
This will be going into a Shelby Pickup.

FOUND AND purchase an air gap.
=======================================
BUT............................

Also want a throttle body from a 360...1989-1991.

You should get the Performer RPM Air Gap instead. Much better intake for not much more money. I just put one on a 340 along w/ a matching 1406 carb, worked great.

Thanks!
Is the 360 of 1999 different than the older ones (70's and 80's engines) because of the heads?
Because the one you linked to says it will not fit my 1999 5.9.

The Magnum heads (~'92+) have the manifold bolts going straight down (not perpendicualr to the head, like the LA engines), and I think the port shape is quite a bit different. So, putting an LA-style manifold on a Magnum engine isn't trivial.

Are you swapping to carb on the Shelby? Or just putting a late-model Magnum engine in?

Magnum heads have the intake bolts going straight down instead on an angle. They make an Air Gap for the magnum engines too, I just linked that one cause I thought you had the original engine still.

I am swapping to the 1999 engine, changing the cam and intake. Then using the stock TBI.
Trying to keep it simple.

So a Performer RPM Air Gap sounds good...anyone have one for sale that will fit the magnum engine?

Will the intake manifold be a good match with the stock TB?

I remember somebody on here put a M1 intake on a 5.9 Grand Cherokee and it slowed it down.

Might not fit perfect, but I can make an adaptor plate.

I'm more concerned that the TB will become a restriction before the intake manifold gets into it's happy range. I'm not saying I know this for sure, I'm just putting the question on the table.

That was GLHShelby, local guy. He didn't retune for the manifold either.

Every test I've seen on the Air Gap has shown it to hang right with the M1/similar single plane intakes while retaining bottom end power.

I found an intake that will work....$165 shipped. Found it here...

I like it better as I dont like brand names plastered on intakes, valve covers, etc.

BUT still need the TBI form a 360.

Thats probably the Performance Products Crosswind intake, Chinese but it works good also. Actually they were better quality than the Edelbrock for a while.
