What is it with L body fuel lines being 3 different sizes?

Why did Chrysler do that? grrrr, some are 5/16 that go to 3/8 fittings, makes replacing hoses a royal PITA, :banghead:

I've said the same about a few other cars thast have done similar stuff. Especially when you are replacing vacuum hoses.:mad:
