What could the problem be the car use to run good but know it is not getting any power to the coil on a 1991 Dodge Shadow Es 2.5l turbo :( we put a new distributer in no help.

well we tried a new relay no help so I think it could be the computer sending no power to the relay. Will a stage 5 computer from fwdperformance work? It's for 1990/91 cars I have one just sitting around half to put in the +40 injectors and a 3 bar map sensor to get it to go I guess.

Well, backtrack some, starter died, relay checks out, but no power to coil still, so what else could a dying starter have fried... ignition switch? I presume you've checked out all the fuses and links.

yea no fuel pump or spark checked if it had power none so put a computer to it see what happens

You won't get fuel or spark if the HEP is not functioning for any reason too.

Are you getting the 2 second pump on for priming when the key is first turned on?

The one who is working on it is my dad he is in Kansas I'm in Ohio we are trying to get it to Ohio he was a mechanic for over 35 years he checked all the fuse's and fusible links there good we are going to try the computer. I forgot the gm 3 bar wont work without the plug in lol but oh well stock one should work just to drive it from Kansas to Ohio

It'll hardly run if you try to drive it with the wrong type of map sensor in the car.

Mine did the same thing today after the new engine install, I put my test light clamp to ground and probed the DLC on the blue/yellow wire and then my fuel pump primed and every thing came to life. I think i have a bad ground somewhere.

Yeah, these kinda problems, it's often not enough just to eyeball the grounds, it's better to pull them off scrub the fug outa them and reinstall.
