View Full Version : what size rings are on the 10:1 pistons and where to get them.

Well title says it all I am buying everything to rebuild my motor for 10:1. I have ordered a gasket kit and have a extra set of heads witch are going to the machine shops to get checked and a bolt hole fixed a snapped cam bearing bolt. I am getting a new non egr intake and jeep throttle body. So please a link would be nice to even summit if I would be only place to get them

91.1 bore 1.2 1.5 3.0 rings.

If you know the year of the motor, you can look it up on RockAuto. The surest way to know is pull a piston and measure the rings...
Years ago I bought a used engine that came with '87 style rail and engine mounts. I pulled a piston to confirm the year of the engine and was surprised to find that it had the newer style 1.2mm top ring!

I bet quite a few early motors got rebuilt with all that valve guide seal oil burning disaster etc.
