Toyota camry crankcase pressure

I just went and looked at a 04 Toyota Camry for a friend at a car lot. It had some valve train noise so I pulled the oil cap off. It had a MASSIVE amount of crankcase pressure! More then any worn out 2.2 I have ever seen. I looked at another one they had on the lot and it was the same way. Is this normal? They bought it but I am curious.
