How are you guys that completed the 2.4 with older 5-spd swap aligning the engine to the trans since one of the allignment dowels does not match up with the transmission. I am just wondering because with only one there is a small amount you can move the trans before you tighten the bolts and I am concerned about starter alignment. has anyone made bushings for the belhousing to center the bolts? Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!
Justin

Going from memory here since its been two or so years.....I used Rbryant's transplate cover as a template, marked the missing hole in the bellhousing and drilled it. I used one of the prexisting holes as the new home for the alignment dowel since I knew it was centered correctly.

Check out "turboshad" log, he has the instructions in there, you basically weld a bushing in place for the front bolt hole/dowel. I think "rybrant" also has the info in his webpage.
