Looking to replace my gauges with NOS units but am missing the tach. Parts specifies 1 part number but that # redlines at 6k not 6,500. Anyone know the part number for the 6500 red line? Posted in the TIII section, can move if required. If someone could help me out here that would be awsome! Or if someone has a NOS one pm me. Thanks for reading, Nick

Guessing that no one has run into this before? I have a few nos tachs but cant remove any of the orange from the masks, they look to be made in layers with the orange sandwiched in between.

91 & 92 have 6500 red line. I did some experimenting with some model paint and I think it turned out well. I scrapped the underside of the needle and repainted it. Comparing to the NOS it's exactly correct! Have a little more tinkering to do for perfecting the red line color however.

My 92 has a tach that seems to "stick" when reved has anyone run into this yet? I find so anoying that it has to think about what RPM to display....:-)

Mine does it at lower rpms. If i tap the plastic it falls into place.

Mine used to stick. what i did was pull out on the needle ever so slightly.after 175K it started to touch the gauge face. been good for over 40K now. Another souce for erratic tach is the connections between the tach module and the clusters board. cleaning the connections usually fixes a 'drop to zero' condition. hope this helps
