Can I run the TIII with no heater hoses hooked to it? I am putting the TIII in my shadow and I already trashed the heater box. I would like to get away with just plugging off the heater hose connections on the water box and waterpump.

Yes you can. The last one I ran with no heater core I just looped them around but capping them will take up even less room.

Looping them would be the best option IMHO. Ever drive a car with a totally plugged heater core? It get really hot before the t-stat fist opens up and the temp tends to fluctuate a lot. I would expect running with the hose barbs capped to run like that since there would be minimal coolant flow through the engine and very very little past the t-stat until it opens.

I agree with looping. Do you really want to take a chance on fing out that it causes a hot spot or loss of flow in that area?

I hate the look of the loop. What about a larger hole in the thermostat, or just running a coolant restrictor plate instead of a thermostat.

I would try a larger hole in the stat, then it can bypass as it warms up.
