I'm picking these up for my NY and gonna mount some 225/50's on them. They are the right pattern but not sure about the back spacing.

Thanks!

If you have 11" brakes, they might not clear.

They will sit in, so you can only run a 205 tire otherwise it will hit the strut.

That bad huh? Dang it, might pass. I already have the 225's. I have a set of wide crabs I was going to use but thought these would look nicer.

Yeah, those are from a Beretta. They won't clear.

10.25" brakes are no problem, just not the 11" ones.

My NY has 10s and the chances of me upgrading are slim. But I don't want to mess with spacers.

How much spacer would I need?

Minimum 1/8 so the inboard side of the spokes will clear the calipers. I'm running 215s on mine and have no issues with strut rub, not even close.

To run a 225, 1/2-3/4" of an inch, IIRC.

I'm gonna pass on them. For the price of the spacers its not worth it. Ive also seen spacers come loose and all the studs break off so I am not their biggest fan.

I've been running them for at least 5 years, no issues, even with slicks. Don't get the cheap ones, :eyebrows:

The one I saw break was on a toyota. The inner (stock) lug nuts loosened up from rapid heating and cooling from running down hill and then into water. Once they got loose they spacer sheared the studs. Luckily we the guy was driving about 3mph and the tire just feel off. The bad part is we were 5 miles from a road and 50 from a parts store.

Bummer, :(

It sounds like they weren't torqued properly.

He swore he torqued them, but I think in that application red locktight is needed. Not hard to get your breaks hot in the woods and water cools them off fast.

I would say he didn't, otherwise wheels would be falling off everywhere. :eyebrows:
